[International] Huang Chih-fang Concludes Visit to Ukraine

Chairman of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), Huang Chih-fang, concluded his three-day, two-night visit to Lviv, Ukraine today (20th). He stated that under the catalysis of the Russia-Ukraine war, Lviv has become a hub for East-West convergence in Ukraine, as well as a focal point for aid and visits from various countries. During this trip, both sides reached a consensus to promote Taiwan-Ukraine cooperation in areas such as social humanitarian aid, charity, healthcare, and economic industries, including the information and communication technology (ICT) sector. They also aim to accelerate bilateral exchanges. For instance, Lviv will host a large-scale international IT event in September, and Ukraine will hold an international forum on rebuilding Ukraine in November. Taiwanese companies are encouraged to consider participating in these events to find potential partners and business opportunities. Huang Chih-fang explained that this visit was at the invitation of the Lviv city government to survey Ukraine's economic and trade industries and social resilience. He felt the sincere arrangements made by the city government. For example, the city government sent a letter to customs to expedite clearance procedures at the border. He received a warm reception when visiting Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, and the deputy mayor dined and held discussions at his hotel twice.
